Resource Treatment Center is committed to providing the best care in the least restrictive setting possible and offers a broad continuum of care designed to meet the needs of every child and family based on the individual needs and risks of each situation.
As part of the dynamic programming offered at Resource Treatment Center, we are proud to include an in-house school program for every adolescent who is placed in our care. Understanding the importance of academic achievement, we incorporate this aspect into each youth’s treatment planning so as to meet the educational needs of our residents while they are receiving treatment at our center.
Our educational programming is delivered in a traditional classroom setting from 8 am until 3 pm and accredited special education teachers provide instruction and support to students in each classroom for the duration of the school day. This program, which also holds accreditation with the Indiana Department of Education, allows our residents to accumulate credit hours so as to prevent falling behind academically while working on healing and recovery. Furthermore, our program assists residents in preparing for the General Educational Development (GED) exam so that the youth in treatment at Resource can accomplish the goal of achieving their high school diploma.
By providing this program, we aim to help the boys and young men engaged in services at Resource learn valuable social skills and build on strengths while receiving an education that will allow them to reintegrate back into the community successfully. We hope to instill the belief that all things are possible and goals towards future aspirations can be achieved through bountiful support.
